What is The Ethical Approach
Our approach is based on providing for our dogs physical and emotional needs, building healthy social relationships, encouraging and enabling natural behaviours, understanding our dogs and learning about their body language and communication, building trust confidence and independence, helping them to feel safe within their environment and reducing any stressors both physical and mental both inside and outside of the home.
Instead of focusing on training our dogs, we focus more on how our dogs are feeling. A relaxed and confident dog is able to cope better in our human environments, build healthy social relationships, and be more calm and settled at home.
We use multiple techniques from the Calming Signals Approach, based on the work of Turid Rugaas, combined with skills learned from studying dog anatomy and physiology , aswell as ethology and dogs natural behaviours.
All of our work is force free, holistic, gentle and ethical to enable you to build a relationship of love and trust with your dog and to encourage their optimal physical and mental health and wellbeing.
